Founded in 2016 by sisters Darci Bernard and Joslin Roth, Resting Waters Aquamation pioneered environmentally friendly pet aftercare and water cremation in Seattle.

As the first of its kind in the city, Resting Waters created a beautiful, compassionate space where families could honor their beloved animals with the same care and dignity given to humans—helping redefine what pet end-of-life care could be.

In 2024, Resting Waters joined forces with Evvi Aftercare to expand access to water cremation across Seattle, with an emphasis on growing veterinary partnerships. Together, Evvi and Resting Waters opened a second facility in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle in 2025.

Today, under the leadership of Sydney Dahl and Darci Bernard—with Joslin now enjoying retirement—their dedicated team continues to reduce the environmental impact of pet cremation in the Seattle community while offering heartfelt, personalized support to families and veterinary professionals.

Through their work, Evvi and Resting Waters are shaping a more compassionate and sustainable future for pet aftercare.

Our goal is to set the standard for pet aftercare by mirroring the grace and dignity of the human death care industry.

Our incredible team has a deep understanding and respect for the grieving process. We use the most advanced, environmentally safe system on the market to ensure that we are not only providing the most gentle process available, but also the most environmentally sound one.
