Press Release: Evvi Aftercare and Resting Waters Merge to Expand Pet Aquamation Services in Seattle

Seattle, WA – March 21, 2025 – Evvi Aftercare, a Seattle-based startup in sustainable and compassionate pet aftercare, is proud to announce the successful merger with Resting Waters Aquamation. The partnership, finalized in July 2024, brings together two deeply aligned teams to expand access to aquamation services for Seattle-area pet families and veterinarians.

Resting Waters, founded by Joslin Roth and Darci Bernard in 2016, has been a pioneering force in pet aquamation, offering families an environmentally friendly, gentle alternative to traditional flame cremation. With this partnership, Darci and Joslin remain integral members of the team, continuing their mission alongside Evvi Aftercare’s founder and CEO, Sydney Dahl.

“The heart of our work has always been supporting families through one of the hardest moments in their lives,” said Resting Waters original co-founder, Darci Bernard. “By joining forces, we can serve even more pet parents with the dignity and care they deserve while expanding aquamation’s impact in our community.”

Since the merger, the combined team has provided aquamation services for over a thousand pets and their families. With plans for growth in 2025, the company looks forward to increasing capacity and deepening its presence in Seattle.

“We have the most incredible team, and this partnership has only strengthened our shared commitment to serving our community and the environment,” said Evvi Aftercare CEO, Sydney  Dahl. “I feel lucky every day to work with the most empathetic, passionate and kind people. We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue to expand and evolve together.”

Resting Waters will continue to serve families and their pets directly under their existing brand name and from their long-standing location in West Seattle.
